Seminars, Consulting and Speaking As the author of the UK's top selling book on property investment and buy to let, my consultancy service for both companies and individuals is in constant demand. Lettingfocus is unique because we have no links at all to developers or agents and we don't sell finance. Sadly, too many property seminars, gurus and "expert reports" are really just developers or agents brochures designed to "talk up" a development or market in order to get the investor to part with their money on the seminar givers' own housing projects. All too often I see big profits made by such companies by charging fees to customers for supposedly having an inside track on these deals. The sad reality is that many novice investors are persauded to buy into properties that are oversupplied, hard to sell on (no exit strategy) and hard to rent out at anywhere near the level that the investors were promised. Other players give advice on how to buy property cheaply from motivated sellers with no money down whilst the advisers make lots of money from fees for bridging finance and related professional services. At LettingFocus.com, we are different because at my networking evenings, seminars, talks and one to one consultancy for private investors, I simply explain the real facts about buy to let - the good and the bad with no bias at all! No attempt is made to sell property to you (though I can search for and help you find good areas and types of property which you should look invest in) And as I dont sell property or finance you can be sure that my advice is fully independent.
